Cultural Institute was launched in 2011, a project to digitize the
world's leading museums through a similar to Google Street View
graphical interface, the platform provides virtual tours of these
spaces reconstructed from photographs. Trolling Google Art Project brings together a series of works on certain cracks appearing in the platform that break the capture system. Righted Museum is a hidden collection art works for copyright reasons. The collection exposes analog politics transfered to virtual environments, the copyright as an inability to provide free access of cultural heritage and as a metaphor of the museum and the hidden histories. The Phantom of the Mirror is a serie where the Google robot reflects itself in the mirrors. Google Cultural Institute lanzó en 2011 un proyecto para digitalizar los principales museos del mundo, por medio de una interface gráfica similar a Google Street View la plataforma ofrece visitas virtuales por estos espacios reconstruidos a partir de multiples tomas fotográficas. Trolling Google Art Project reúne una serie de trabajos sobre determinadas fisuras que aparecen en la plataforma que rompen el sistema de captura. Dejando al descubierto tanto políticas analógicas trasladadas a escenarios virtuales (copyright) como el propio dispositivo técnico que construye esta experiencia del patrimonio cultural que plantea Google. |
